Our first Open House of the year will coincide with the Chinese New Year Festival here in Chinatown drawing more than 150,000 for the weekend-long celebration on Feb. 1, 12-8 p.m. and Feb. 2, 12-5 p.m. Events in our neighborhood include the annual Golden Dragon Parade on Saturday from 1pm-3pm – Cheer on the spectacular floats, decked-out cars, dancers and bands as they parade down the heart of Chinatown with Grand Marshal Mayor Eric Garcetti.
Following the parade, there will be workshops for the kids, local food vendors to enjoy, the ever popular gourmet food trucks and a Craft Beer Garden curated by Eagle Rock Brewery featuring local breweries.
But wait, there’s more! This year Downtown Flea joins in with two flea/vintage/craft fairs to shop and also new will be “Spring Festival on Spring” – hop over to Spring St. for food and music brought to you by 643 North and Caveman Vintage Music also on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Kleverdog will have their doors open to the public on Saturday from 11am – 3pm!
