This Sunday will be car-free on some of the major roads in Los Angeles, and it’s a great chance to enjoy a walk, or run or better still, ride your bike across Los Angeles. The routes are posted on their website and here’s how they describe this event from 9am – 4pm:
CicLAvia – Heart of LA returns to the streets that started it all as we explore downtown Los Angeles on bike, foot, stroller and many more creative means of locomotion. The Heart of LA route follows in the footsteps of our first five events and helps Angelenos rediscover the origins of the City of Angels. Whether you’ve ridden these streets before or are new to CicLAvia, the Heart of LA route promises something new to discover.
One of the routes starts right here in Chinatown and includes some fun events on Broadway for children and adults alike. One of the events added this Sunday is Charles Phoenix and His Chinatown Field Trip: “Experience the charm of LA’s legendary Old Chinatown as your tour guide, Charles Phoenix, shares his keen eye for oddball detail and the stories, and glories, of one of LA’s most exotic themed environments and precious pop cultural resources.“ Better still, the walking tour includes fresh eggrolls! Sign up on eventbrite – There are only 30 tickets per tour. Tickets are now on sale for the following times (click on time for purchase link): 12:00-1:00 p.m. 1:30-2:30 p.m. 3:00-4:00 p.m.
We will be taking pictures of the days events on our Instagram, if you have one, you can follow along @kleverdogcowork . Come on out and enjoy LA at a slower pace.
